The advocacy task team comprises of health and WASH actors from every region of the world. The group’s work focuses on change objectives 1 and 2 of the global action plan. The advocacy task team's work will focus on ensuring WASH in health care facilities is a core part of all health efforts.
The focus for 2016 is to continue with global and national level advocacy to ensure WASH in HCF is prioritized as part of quality Universal Health Coverage, antimicrobial resistance and quality maternal and newborn care efforts. The task team will also work alongside the infection, prevention and control unit to support the Learning Laboratory led by the Quality and UHC Unit at WHO (http://www.integratedcare4people.org/communities/global-learning-laboratory-for-quality-universal-health-coverage/) to improve quality of care as a key component of achieving Universal Health Coverage.
