SafeCare developed an interactive quality-management platform for healthcare providers. Features of the Platform include quality improvement challenges, sharing of best practice examples, chatbots, benchmarking, and real-time progress information. During the challenges, facilities can win ‘badges’ for WASH topics (e.g. a safe handwashing badge) which recognize achievements made and which can be shared through social media and displayed on the platform itself. SafeCare is the first in providing quality improvement using innovative gamification approaches. The platform will also be accessible by stakeholders. Donors can follow the progress of the facilities they support. Governments can access the data for informed decision making and resource allocation.
